Dr. Benham grew up in Indiana where her childhood family optometrist helped spark her interest in the eye care field. During her internship at his office, she learned much from her mentor. What impressed Dr. Benham the most was how happy patients were upon receiving their new glasses or contact lenses.

     Dr. Benham earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Indiana University School of Optometry in 1988. She is a member of the California Optometric Association. Dr. Benham enjoys the communication process involved in caring for her patients and encourages them to feel comfortable asking questions and discussing their ocular health.

     Dr. Darlene Fidler grew up in Southern California and received her undergraduate degree from UCLA in Biology. She then attended UC Berkley School of Optometry and received her Doctor of Optometry degree. She joined Dr. Bernstein and Dr. Benham's practice in 2002.

     Dr. Fidler enjoys working with her patients and has a special interest in ocular disease, and hard-to-fit contact lenses, including bifocal and astigmatic lenses. Dr. Fidler is certified in therapeutics including treating glaucoma and punctal plugs for dry eyes. Dr. Fidler has a lot of experience with patients of all ages, including young children and the elderly.
